The Apartment - Bloomsbury, London

Our comfortable, well appointed Grade II listed apartment consists of 3 bedrooms (sleeping up to 5 people), 2 bathrooms (1 en-suite), 3 WCs, 2 reception rooms and a kitchen / diner. The apartment is on three floors and it has all the modern amenities needed for a really special self-catering family holiday.

Built around 1698 by the speculative builder Nicholas Barbon, the sloping walls, stairs, ceilings and floors in this building lend it a distinct charm.  Living here provides a unique opportunity to experience life in a traditional old London townhouse, in a perfectly central location.

Many of our guests return to the property again and again. The comment book contains many quotes like the following by a recent guest:

"The apartment is beautiful, comfortable and full of character, the kids immediately felt at home here...we had a brilliant holiday."

Location

The part of London known as Bloomsbury was constructed in the late 17th and 18th centuries. It is steeped in history and many famous people – such as Charles Dickens – have lived in the area.

The apartment is in Lamb’s Conduit Street, in Bloomsbury WC1 – a very central location – very convenient for sightseeing, shopping and theatres being especially close to Covent Garden and the British Museum.

The street and the areas around are lively yet surprisingly quiet, and are full of small, interesting restaurants and shops. There is an excellent children’s playground at the end of the street. The nearest Tube stations are Holborn and Russell Square - each less than 10 minutes walk away.
